Report abuse, copyright or privacy concerns

Use this page to tell us about a CompactSaaS short link, redirect, QR code, custom domain or public analytics share link that is being used for something harmful or unlawful, or that infringes your rights or invades someone's privacy.

In an emergency

CompactSaaS is not an emergency service. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 000 in Australia, or your local emergency number.

  • Serious online abuse, or illegal or restricted online content: report it to the eSafety Commissioner.
  • Cybercrime or a cyber security incident: report it through ReportCyber, or call the Australian Cyber Security Hotline on 1300 CYBER1 (1300 292 371).
  • If you sent money or gave away banking details in a scam, contact your bank or card provider straight away. We cannot recover funds or secure an account held elsewhere.
  • Do not download, copy or send us suspected child sexual exploitation material. Report the exact address to the police or the eSafety Commissioner.

How to report

Email support@compactsaas.com. Start the subject with Abuse report, Copyright report, Trade mark report or Privacy report, so it reaches the right place. Send one email for related items, and separate emails for unrelated ones.

What to include

In every report, please give us:

  1. Your name, organisation if any, and how to contact you. You may report anonymously, but then we may not be able to look into it properly or tell you what happened.
  2. Whether you are the person affected, acting for them, the rights holder or their representative, a security researcher, a government body, or someone else.
  3. The exact CompactSaaS address or identifier: the short link, redirect address, custom domain, public share link, or the QR code (what it encodes or where you scanned it).
  4. Where it sends people, if you know.
  5. What the problem is, and the harm it causes or could cause.
  6. When you saw it, with the time zone.
  7. Evidence, such as screenshots, with unrelated personal details removed.
  8. What you are asking us to do, and why it is urgent if it is.
  9. Any earlier report reference.
  10. This statement: “I believe in good faith that the information in this report is accurate, that I am authorised to make it where I act for someone else, and that it is not knowingly false, misleading, abusive or made for an improper purpose.”

Phishing, malware, scams and spam

Include the address you were sent and where it ended up, how it reached you, what it asked for, and whether it is still active. Do not go back to a dangerous page to collect more evidence, and do not attach a harmful file.

Privacy, doxxing, harassment and impersonation

Say who is affected and your authority to act for them, what was published or misrepresented, and why it puts someone at risk (for example a home address, contact details, precise location, intimate image or information about a child). Do not send identity documents unless we ask for them.

Copyright

Identify the work (a representative list is fine if there are many), the rights holder and your authority to act, how you own or control the rights, each exact address where it is used, why that use is not authorised by you or by law, any licence or exception you know of, and your typed name.

Trade marks, names and likeness

Identify the mark, name, image or likeness, its owner and your authority, any registration details and countries, each address where it is used, and how the use misleads or falsely suggests a connection. A registered mark does not by itself rule out every descriptive or comparative use.

Please do not send

Passwords, API keys, private keys or other credentials; identity documents we have not asked for; harmful files; or unlawful images.

What happens next

  • We may acknowledge your report, give it a reference (it looks like TS-20261027-AB12CD) and ask you for more information.
  • We may pass your report, including your name and contact details, to the customer responsible so they can respond. Tell us in your report if sharing your details would put you at risk. We may remove details such as home addresses or identity numbers before passing a report on.
  • Where we decide action is warranted, we may disable the link, redirect, QR code or share link, or restrict the account responsible. We may act before we finish looking into a report if waiting could cause serious harm.
  • We do not promise a fixed response or resolution time, and we cannot always tell you the outcome.
  • We do not monitor every link, redirect, QR code, domain or share link, and a report does not guarantee that we will find or remove every problem. We do not decide legal disputes between you and the customer.

If we disabled something of yours

Our email to you names a case reference. To dispute it, email support@compactsaas.com with the reference in the subject, and tell us which item you mean, why you dispute the report, any permission, licence or consent you rely on, any changes you have made, and how to contact you. We may pass your response, including your contact details, to the person who reported it. Sending a response does not mean the item will be turned back on.

To ask us to reconsider any decision, reporter or customer, email the same address with the reference, what you think we got wrong, and any new evidence.

How we handle the information

We use what you send us to assess and act on the report, to contact you and the customer about it, to prevent repeat abuse, and to defend or establish legal claims. We may share it with service providers, regulators, courts or law enforcement where the law requires or allows. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and how to ask about it.
